Z Fold Dead Pixel — Inner vs Outer Display
The Z Fold has two displays: a large 7.6" inner foldable display and a 6.2" outer cover display. Dead pixels can occur on either. The inner display, like the Z Flip, is subject to mechanical stress at the fold crease. The outer display is a more conventional smartphone panel and behaves like any non-folding phone screen.
Test the inner display by opening the phone fully. Test the outer display with the phone folded closed. Use *#0*# in the dialler to access Samsung's built-in display diagnostics for the inner display.
How to Test Your Z Fold for Dead Pixels
- Open the phone fully. Dial
